Paul W. Botte is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, providing investment and financial services to individuals and businesses in San Diego and nationwide since 1984. As an investment adviser representative of Petix & Botte Financial which is registered with the SEC*, Paul believes in holistic financial planning, and he provides this by analyzing all aspects of a client’s financial life. He is committed to developing long-term, trustworthy relationships with his clients and seeks to provide service that will exceed their expectations every day. Paul strives to reduce his clients’ stress and financial worries.
He obtained a B.S. degree in Finance from San Diego State University and began his financial services career in the corporate accounting department of a national real estate development company. In December 1984, he completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® course work and examination series. Following two years of experience, he was awarded the CFP® certification by the College for Financial Planning**.
Born in San Diego, California, Paul places great importance on giving back to the community. He is currently a board member for the Home of Guiding Hands and was named their 2024 Board Member of the Year. He is a past board member of many nonprofit organizations including the Foundation for Grossmont & Cuyamaca colleges, La Mesa Chamber of Commerce, La Mesa Kiwanis, and East County YMCA. In addition he is past member of the Grossmont Cuyamaca Community College District Citizens Bond Oversight Committee, and the YMCA of San Diego County Gift Planned Advisory Council.
Paul is married to his high school sweetheart, Mary. They have three children, Tori, Christina, and Nick and three grandchildren. Besides enjoying various activities with his family, Paul’s hobbies include backpacking, wine, cooking, and gardening.
